Full Review

The Aquasana EQ-1000 Rhino is the ultimate solution for people who own their Mediterranean home. Installed at the main water inlet, it filters every drop of water entering your house — taps, showers, washing machines, everything.

With a staggering 1,000,000 gallon (3,785,000 liter) capacity — roughly 10 years for an average family — this is the best long-term value in water filtration. It uses a combination of activated carbon and KDF-55 media to remove chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, VOCs, and sediments.

The system maintains strong water pressure thanks to its efficient flow design. It also includes a 20-inch sediment pre-filter for added protection.

Particularly valuable for homes in Mediterranean countries with older plumbing (pre-1990 construction), where lead and copper leaching from pipes is a genuine concern. Also excellent for rural properties relying on well water. The upfront cost is significant, but the per-liter cost over 10 years is unbeatable.
